Our Services

Retipping

The retipping process involves removing the existing tip of a dental hand instrument and replacing it with a new one.  Prior to inserting the new tip, the handle is carefully inspected by for any cracks, rust, or other damage. If no issues are found, the existing tip is removed and a new one inserted and sealed into the handle. The instrument is then sent to the finishing stage, where final touches are completed as required.

One of the benefits of retipped is the flexibility of changing the type of instrument. For example, if you have a SG13/14 that you do not use, you have the option of retipping it into a SH6/7.

Retipping is not limited to scalers and curettes. We also retip periodontal probe, explorers, as well as endodontic, operative and surgical instruments.

Sharpening

Professional sharpening for all instruments, including scissors and orthodontic cutters, is offered to ensure proper angulation and contouring.

New Instruments

All our instruments are made using high quality U.S. 440A surgical grade stainless steel. We offer and manufacture a wide verity of instruments in various handle sizes.

Trade-In Program

The J.J. Quality Trade-In Program enables you to trade-in any instrument that cannot be retipped, such as instruments with plastic handles, instruments with handles that are rusted, or instruments whereby the handle and tip are one solid piece of metal. These instruments can be exchanged for new instruments at a discounted price.

Certain brands of instruments are also not retippable, including American Eagle, and PDT Cruise.

Tungstenizing

Tungstenizing involves applying a protective coat to the working end of the instrument, which enables the instrument to stay sharper longer.
